Dedicated team, great achievement

We at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy experienced the Otary team for the first time in the Rentel project where SGRE designed, supplied and installed 42 SWT 7.0-154 wind turbines. Compared to our average Offshore wind customer base, Otary is relatively small in headcount, but we experiences the Otary team as being highly efficient, knowledgeable, experienced, hands-on and result driven, with an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the business. Otary put Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy on the Offshore map in Belgium. Together, we were able to build a professional cooperation based on fairness and trust resulting in a project delivered within time and budget. The cooperation will continue with the SeaMade project that is also managed by the Otary team and where SGRE will supply the wind turbines. It was a real pleasure working with the Otary team.

Knowledgeable, pragmatic and professional

As lender’s technical advisor, Mott MacDonald has been collaborating with Otary since the early development and throughout construction of the 309 MW Rentel Offshore wind project in Belgium. We have also worked closely with Otary to oversee the technical due diligence process of the 487 MW SeaMade offshore wind farm, which has recently achieved financing. We continue to liaise with the Otary team on construction and operations monitoring of both projects. During our many years of working in its projects, we have found the Otary team to be knowledgeable about the offshore wind industry and efficient to handle problems and other issues in a pragmatic and professional way.

Succesfully realizing challenging windfarm projects together

Since quite some years DEME has been working with Otary on several Belgian Windfarms. The latest successful realization was the Rentel Offshore Wind Farm, followed by the installation of the SeaMade Offshore Wind Farm. During our cooperation of the last years on the previous projects within the Belgian waters, a lot of experience and knowledge has been gathered but even more important, a lot of trust and understanding has been created between both teams. Thanks to this trust, the good cooperation and the professional atmosphere between the teams, we were able to deliver within the very tight time schedule the important milestones for the SeaMade project as well. We finalised the design within time. The fabrication of the foundations and cables, and the successful installation of all 58 foundations, 2 topside foundations and the export cables were also finished within time. We trust we will be able to continue this way and will deliver the project to the satisfaction of Otary, within time and budget. It is a pleasure to work with our team for a client as Otary, jointly realizing such great Offshore Wind projects.
